I'm unsure whether to put a content warning on this post. It's Barbie Kardashian, so it involves explicit discussions and references to abuse, porn, etc.

'Kardashian (24), who was released from prison last year has been given until July 6 to vacate emergency accommodation in Meath after she was caught filming porn and engaging in prostitution.
But the volatile criminal, who served her sentence for threatening to rape and kill her mother, defended her prostitution gig - albeit she claims to have now stopped as she fights eviction.
“The reason why I was doing the porn and prostitution was because I wanted to be objectified sexually.
“I wanted to be viewed as a whore and as a slut by the entire Irish society basically. It’s my aspiration to be like Bonnie Blue,” she said.
...
Now Kardashian, who is a legally recognised female, admits she was having scores of men over to her council accommodation - in a clear breach of her tenancy agreement.
“I advertised myself online as a prostitute. I was giving them my address which was breaching the tenancy agreement. We were having sex completely consensually and during some of the encounters I asked the men if they could let me film ourselves having sex and they said yeah and that I could put the videos up online.
“That was obviously another breach of the tenancy agreement. It says in the agreement that I’m not able to film any content inside the property. Some ratted me out I guess,” she said.'

My concern is why Ruhana, an organisation set up to help women, is helping this man.

'Ruhama, an Irish NGO and registered charity which says it offers support for women impacted by prostitution aided Kardashian in attempting to appeal the council decision.
In correspondence with the council a caseworker for the organisation cited Kardashian’s history of “complex trauma,” and stated that she faces no alternative housing options.'

'We offer free and confidential support to women affected by prostitution or sex trafficking in Ireland. '

'Ruhama is a women’s organisation and a safe space for women, including transgender women.'

Are Ruhama cognisant of the potential risk to staff? Other service users?

'Detective Garda Niall Fitzgerald of Roxboro Road Garda Station, Limerick, gave evidence that gardaí believe Ms Kardashian continues to “pose a significant threat to those she has made threats towards, as well as to the wider public.”
Kardashian had 15 previous convictions including for threats to kill, sexual assault, assault causing harm, assault, and causing criminal damage to property.'

Wasn't that what he threatened to do to his mother, not the prison officer?
If I remember rightly, he 'only' threatened to assault the officer, not rape her.
That might make the jury's decision slightly more understandable, but it's true that juries come to weird decisions sometimes..

Though maybe less weird if you are [one is] in the courtroom to hear all the evidence and the legal definitions and the judge's instructions.

Obviously BK is a dangerous character, I'm not defending him at all.

From this article, it seems the detail of not being able to have children may have been made only to the other prisoner that BK also threatened, but I’m not sure.

The threats definitely included the use of implements though:

A Limerick prison officer told a court on Wednesday that she was “terrified” when transgender female prisoner Barbie Kardashian told her she would “rape” her with an “implement”.

(Three different occasions of such a threat, one of which was recorded and was played in court. The prison officer, Roisin Linnane said she’d never been as frightened of a prisoner before.

The other one was against a fellow prisoner: “She (Barbie Kardashian) threatened to kill her (Tegan McGhee), and she threatened to rape her with an implement and leave her in such a way that she could not have children,” Officer O’Meara alleged.

"Overall I was shocked, terrified and feared for my safety," Roisín Linnane told the Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.

I’ll never understand how he was acquitted of threatening the female prison officer. He admitted having said he’d rape her so violently using instruments that she’d never be able to have children - and he was acquitted because apparently it’s ok to talk like that to a prison officer! It’s just bit of backchat apparently.

I think part of the issue there was that the other person he threatened was being held in prison awaiting trial for the murder of her stepson who was only 6 or 7 years old so I can tell you that locally the feeling was let Barbie get her so people didn’t feel as outraged. I’m not saying that’s right but just giving my opinion and wondering did it influence the jury at all and the poor prison officer got a raw deal. I know it shouldn’t have in any way influenced the jury as it’s obvious that he is a dangerous fucker but he was also obviously horrifically abused as a child so him threatening a child killer shouldn’t come as a surprise. I’m probably not explaining myself well as I’m trying to get dinner prepared here but I think bringing Tegan into the witness box just wasn’t going to help anyone’s case.

Possibly true. It’s noticeable that the article took care to say “child killer Tegan McGhee, as though that were relevant. The fact that a female prison officer was being threatened by a male is far more relevant and yet they carefully avoided saying that at all.
