Just why are the Greens so ill informed. Why are they anti science. Why are so many women backing them. I just don't get it. Why are Oxford University Women's Rowing effectively writing themselves out of competing.

Because they need to virtue signal to keep in with their peer group. They have to be seen to support a whole portmanteau of acceptable beliefs.

The intimidation and bullying of women in universities is off the scale - along with the levels of sexual assault and intimidation - from both staff and other students. We shouldn't be surprised that young women feel there's no option other than to hand over their legitimate places in women's sport to the male bullies or to pander to the demands of these men.

After all, it's an Oxford College centring the sexual fetish of this man: - not really an environment where women would feel confident in expecting their rights to same sex sport, privacy, safety and dignity to be respected:

Hopefully the university will be able to clear up this misunderstanding by confirming that transwomen are not banned from rowing and they are able to do so in the men's eights teams.

Oxford University is complying with the rules set out by British Rowing - how unbelievably and unsurprisingly stupid of those councillors to think it is a personal decision by Mr Roycroft.

I hate how they always make the ridiculous claim that ‘trans people’ have been ‘banned’ from sport. It’s so sneaky. The truth is obvious to those of us who have been having this conversation for a long time, but anyone who’s hitherto managed to avoid having to think about any of it will see things like this and believe the lie that trans people are routinely discriminated against. 😡

👆👆👆 this 💯 stop the drama and disinformation. TW can still compete in their correct sex category (assuming of course that they make the grade).

It’s entirely consistent with transgenderist ideology - ie based upon distortions and lies that must never be challenged.

Twisting the use of words is now very common. It means that you have to read with an ever more critical and cynical mind, which is tedious and tiring.

I sometimes wonder if pressure groups deliberately encourage their members to amp up the language. 'Use "cruel" rather than "unkind". Use "beaten" for "pushed back steadliy". Use "banned" for "not allowed in certain groups".'

I too hope that the Uni take the opportunity to bring clarity to the 'trans' addled Green's and explain that the law must be followed. I also hope they also make it clear that the only trans and sport local councillors should be bothering with is school transport. 😁
However, I expect if the Uni does reply, it will be with a cringe laden, hand wringing apology, full of commitments on inclusive and safe space for our 'trans' members blah, blah, blah, ad nauseam, ending with there's nothing we can do, the horrible mean people are making us do it.

Use 'people' when they mean 'men'.

It's got to the point now that I don't care what they say about why they are doing it, or how they do it (legally), as long as they actually do it!

I would be very glad to never have to discuss these topics ever again.
