remind me - wasn’t this guy a defender of the Pride in Surrey mob or have I got him mixed up?

I recall Blunt regaling parliament, some years ago, about his fondness for chem-sex. It was all very seedy and you can see how he's been drawn into the darker reaches of the gay male sex scene.

Edited

Lord Paddick is another who sees this kind of thing as normal. I find it hard to get my very sheltered mind around.

BBC News - Ex-justice minister fined for possessing illegal drugs
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn8dgxz54yno

He gave a long speech to the court arguing that he shouldn't be found guilty because drugs laws are stupid (I paraphrase). He wasn't just a Tory MP, he was a minister in the Department of Justice. The arrogance and hypocrisy is off the scale.

A elderly man wearing glasses and a black suit. He has grey hair and is bald.

He also claims he got into chemsex purely for research purposes, to inform drug policy 😂

The former Conservative MP and justice minister Crispin Blunt has been fined after pleading guilty to possessing illegal drugs, including cannabis and crystal meth.

This is delicious.

Blunt, who hit out at the decision to charge him and suggested all drugs should be legal, was fined £1,200.

Ha ha ha, just like he was furious that his pal was in court for sexual assault on a 15 year old. Maybe he would suggest that should be legal too? Creep.

Sad times Blunty, sad times.

Slightly O/T but he looks near 80, and not 65, his actual age. Too much partying.

Shedmistress · 25/03/2026 16:36

He allegedly claimed that he used his experience of drugs parties to inform policy development. Chemsex, which is most common among gay and bisexual men, involves taking drugs before engaging in group sex. “It was the first time he had come out as a gay man, and during his ministerial role he saw first-hand the harm caused by the government’s drug policy,” Zarah Dickinson, prosecuting, told the court. “He began to take a professional interest in a policy that inflicted lasting harm on society.

And how exactly did any policies he influenced manifest themselves?

He is not ageing well. Not much of an advertisement for the lifestyle.

So many MPs with convictions for drugs or sex offences who are ever so keen on transitioning children and removing boundaries about privacy and safety for women and girls.
Wonder why?

That should say politicians as a number of them are in LAs, not just Westminster.

I remember his defence of the fellow MP convicted for sexual assault on a 15 year old. I think he said the conviction was motivated by homophobia and a lack of understanding of gay culture.

Poor Emily. Any jokes about the creepy uncle you only see at Christmas must feel a bit close to home when you have someone like that in the family.

NotMyRealAccount · 25/03/2026 17:42

Fucking monsters like Blunt shouldn't get anywhere near government.

Chemsex is mostly for group sex cos the meth makes men last for hours so they can get round everybody on the guest list.

G&T (GHB date rape drug) and Tina (meth) is a pleasing party combo.

Blunt’s been to some interesting constituency meetings.

A walking red flag. One of the most toxic trans rights activists that's ever been in Parliament. Vile man.

Couldn't agree more.
Also, is it just me, or is anyone else surprised it was crystal meth? It's such a gutter drug, but I guess that sums him up.

Hoardasurass · 26/03/2026 07:08

Is anyone surprised that judge Tam Ikrahm let a man who admitted supplying class A & B drugs to people as well as being found in possession of them off with just a £1200 fine?
I mean he let a man whos a convicted murderer (amongst other things) off for inciting violence against women (punch a terf) as it was just a joke.

Supersimkin7 · 26/03/2026 08:25

Meth is a big gay drug. Not nec gutter.

Scenario you described earlier sounds like the epitome of a gutter. Albeit not necessarily an impoverished, skid row type of gutter. Irrespective of whether they are straight or gay. If as alleged, those P Diddy parties were a gutter scenario too. Full of creepy, incontinent types.

It does feel like every time a society undergoes a moral relaxation, it ends up with some horrible guy in a court/prison issuing a tirade about why normal rules of behaviour shouldn’t apply to him.

Imagine how much worse he'd be if there were no rules 😬

As I understand the thinking, that would solve everything? The only problem with [thing I like] is that there are rules against it.

SionnachRuadh · 26/03/2026 17:49

Gotta say, "I shouldn't be nicked for drugs because of what's happening in Gaza" is quite a take.

I look forward to Crispin being unveiled as a Green Party candidate.

SadSadTimes · 26/03/2026 18:01

The ones that baffle me the most are the ones that want to abolish all prisons. Really? We want convicted murderers, paedophiles and rapists living amongst us in the community? How does that keep the rest of us safe? And that's before we even start on the need for deterrence and punishment.

I think they have this weird idea - which may come from listening to American leftists - that 90% of prisoners are non-violent people sent there for smoking weed or protesting against The Man. Which just isn't true. It's quite difficult in this country to be sent to prison unless you've committed a pretty serious crime.
