Q please 're women's organisations UK. I am looking for advice specifically related to the law on 'female only' and who to complain to if a sex specific service allows trans I'd males to use those services. A big Q I know, but I need to start somewhere. I have thought of Sex Matters, Women's Rights Network and Fawcett Society. Happy to expand in a DM if you think you can help/signpost. Thanks. (Someone has said The Fawcett Soc have gone all woke, but they did suggest legalfeminist.org ) Any suggestions welcome. NB One of my issues is they are using Tims in advertising for 'female' specific services and allowing them to access said services. (They are funded by the Govt.. But again, the money is supposed to be for 'female only' in this instance.)

Ok if its a female only service that is allowing males however they identify use the service your 1st action would be to complain to the service yourself and escalate through their entire complaint system. Then if its a charity you can go to their board and after that the charity commission. If its a government run service or an independent non charity organisation after going through the complaint system your next option is to start legal proceedings for sex discrimination.
Depending on the type of service and whether you are a service user or would be if they weren't excluding you by allowing males in you may or may not have a case without more details i can't advise further.
However if you need funding for a case jk_rowling has a fund for women fighting these sorts of cases

Sorry just realised you are looking at the law about this @SarahJane03 you want the equality act 2010 and the fws vs Scottish government supreme crt ruling which clarified that sex in the equality act means biological sex and a single sex service must exclude the opposite sex regardless of gender identity or the ownership of a GRC

If the service is a member of the Women's Resource Centre which in theory represents UK based women's groups then you could ask them. https://www.wrc.org.uk/

Post the Supreme Court ruling they made it clear to all members that above all, irrespective of their politics, they HAD to be honest.

So if a service is advertised as women or female only, then it is only for and by biological females.

If the service they offer is trasn inclusvie then they must make that clear.

The problem is that with the Labour Government dragging its feet over publishing guidelines many groups are saying they aren't obliged to be honest.

Also quote the Roz Adams case where it was clear that what she wanted, as someone who supports trans inclusive services but also respects women's rights, that she and other providers in the RCC must be honest about whether someone is a woman or a trans woman.

This is the relevant section of the EQA 2010 -

The EHRC is asociated with an advisory service called EASS which offers information, advice and support on discrimination and human rights issues to individuals in the UK -
