Reviving this thread as the new CEO this morning 'does not want to talk about the past'. Not fit to hold the post if that is the response.

Yep - heard her on Radio 4 this morning- it was embarrassing- it could have been a skit from The Thick of It - BUT this is about safety of children and young people - to not address it properly is shameful

Your would think a company as big as McDonald's would have worked out a more empathitic position that this.

How sad she would think this okay.

But worse for those who did suffer.

How very disappointing- another woman with power who wants to dismiss women’s suffering caused by the organisation she now heads. She doesn’t have to take responsibility for it (obviously) but surely she could facilitate some work to address it and stop it continuing?

She’s made the mistake of thinking she can make this go away by ignoring it. I don’t think it’s going to go away and will just become a stain on her reputation as well.
