There have been a lot of reports today in various media channels describing Charles' first official engagement in support of the LGBT+ community.
All of the reports that I have heard today have talked of an LGBT or LGBT+ ban in the armed services that was overturned in 2000. A sad history but one that the services are trying to rectify
My understanding is that the ban was on homosexuality and not on having a transgender identity (or any of the other '+' gender identities that seem much more recent that 2000).
Is this correct?
