@Appalonia The Charity Commission's hideously under-funded relative to the size of the charity sector so its wheels grind slow. Filia are also conducting a review/ having a review conducted (the wording's not quite clear) which will take time to do & require time to implement.
A large conference starts organising far in advance & the prep would already be well in hand before the CC had finished & the review completed & implemented.

I don't understand why postponing it for another year helps address any of the issues they're facing. Do they just think t will all blow over and everyone will just forget about it...?

Not particularly about FiLia but often groups like this get "fatigue" and when it has been providing one woman a purpose, it is easier for others to slip away. (Again this is quite common with groups that grow out of one or two women's interest)

And this bit is about FiLia. There are probably many who volunteer who think of it as a positive experience, and didn't really know that politics can get a bit nasty! Even in women's groups.

A bit off topic, but the old school socialist feminists are going all out (on facebook at least) that this has been a turning point and anti racist, anti facist feminists need to take a stand, etc., etc.. 2 events coming up, but dont have links to hand.

And looks like Million Women Rise which has tried to be non partisan has moved into their sphere of interest.

I cant remember which thread this is, but I have said before I am quite relaxed about feminists having different political analyis.

What I despise is those who say they are working for a common agreement and then abuse their position it gives to then launch into a virtue signaling speech, against the agreed basis on which they were invited to speak. If someone really feels that strongly they shouldn't be involved in something that isn't a single strand working group.

And (without saying they are like TRAs) it is the same conceit that you are so convinced you are right that you infiltrate a group and then start tub thumping for your personal position. Based on the assumption that everyone else has wrong think.

Charity postpones conference to review processes as regulator closes case
Gender-critical feminist charity FiLiA has postponed its flagship annual conference after allegations of antisemitic incidents at its event last year were assessed by the Charity Commission.

From a quick read it looks like they are saying to protect the privacy of the women concerned they have been personally contacted. Which I took to mean the report wont be made public.

Quote: We will not discuss the specifics of the incident publicly, in keeping with our long-held principle of not speaking about individual women in public.
