These men present a clear danger to women. The police should be tracking the offenders down and prosecuting them

ProfessorRizz · 11/10/2025 10:03

I can’t stop laughing at ‘blowjobs are real jobs’ Grin but yes, Bindel is right, this is basically just men threatening women, again.

Helleofabore · 11/10/2025 10:09

The chilling effect of these violent and intimidating tactics is hard to deny.

The venues being used for any publicly advertised women’s meetings must be concerned about safety. That is of course, why these tactics are used. The women attending have to think about their safety. It all feeds into the prevention of women discussing their needs.

ladybirdsanchez · 11/10/2025 10:30

I wholeheartedly agree with Julie Bindel and feel furious that the police go to women's homes and arrest them for 'hate speech' when they write a tweet 'misgendering' one of these dangerous fantasists and yet allow these violent men to threaten, intimidate, do criminal damage, and they just stand by and do nothing! Why????? It's outrageous!!!

These lunatics are the same ones who post on message boards that they are not joking when they say that they would like to kill so-called TERFs (i.e. any women who doesn't live in La-La Land and agree that they're 'real women'). Threats to kill! And the police do nothing, which emboldens them. And we, the victims of these violent misogynists, are told to 'be kind' and that our denial of their fantasies makes THEM feel unsafe FFS!!

I disagree, I think most trans people are not a danger to anyone.

A few of the most vocal and active in the UK TRA movement are a danger to society. Unfortunately, they are emboldened by police inaction and furious at constant defeats in the courts. This makes them dangerous.

If police don't act on what is basically a confession (the bash video) , TRAs know they are at liberty to do it again. This raises the question of what will it take for the police or the home secretary to act. It's not threats to kill, vexatious complaints, assault or damage to public property. What will it be? This is why Bindel and so many of us are afraid of these men.

I'm becoming increasingly worried that what it will take is a woman being raped or killed by one of these lunatics. They've threatened time and again to do it and no action has been taken, so I think the only thing that will cut through is the the worst outcome. I hope I'm wrong, but so many times when it comes to violence against women, someone has to die before the police will actually take the matter seriously. See also 'honour' crimes and stalking, which were not taken seriously until women died.

Just spotted this on that link of yours OP

I have filled it out regarding nhs costs and waiting lists etc.

Important to get a full picture of the impact I think

Well this is the mindset of some ( and just a recent post)
and if you’ve been on other feminist threads you’ll know there’s been far worse out there

Yes, it is Upton! The good doctor is the perfect illustration of the benefits of sunlight. The more he talked during cross questioning in the Peggie case, the more people were peaked en masse.

Vile threats to feminists have been around for years. But apparently, there's nothing to see here, nothing the police can do 🙄

Honestly I hope it won't take a feminist being murdered or seriously assaulted for the police and the government to realise what a serious threat these extremists pose.

We also read in the last few days that the Darlington nurses, whose case comes up later this month, have been reported to police and their regulator for transphobic hate crimes. They could end up with non-crime hate incidents logged against them, meaning future job applications could be affected.

The police seem keen to act on reports of ‘hate crimes’, but seem unable to punish or pursue those threatening and abusing women in the gender debate.

Igmum · 12/10/2025 19:40

The serious assaults and rapes have already happened. I really really don’t want some poor woman to get murdered but some TRAs are insane enough to do this. How on earth can we get the Police to take this seriously before someone dies?

I have been worried about this for years, since seeing the threat on Twitter (I think to JKR?) to rip out her ovaries and uterus. It was sickening and terrifying.

SmudgeBrown · 13/10/2025 08:12

At least here we don’t have guns, or it would have happened already, the violence they threaten online.

The police are on the side of the TRAs.

I’ve seen these threats made to many different women, not all public figures. Some of these men like to fantasise the most horrific, graphic scenarios possible of what they’d like to do to disobedient women. And people wonder why we don’t want them in women only spaces.
