Because the fact that this poster, in the female toilets at my work has an asterisk next to the word women has put my back up!

A different point, but not all women (yes, I know what a woman is) experience menopausal symptoms. So the maths isn't right.

This is true and I remember reading somewhere (sorry to be so vague) that menopause isn't even a thing in some parts of the world. Diet-related, apparently. Obviously periods stop, the ovaries gradually stop producing a high level of hormones but some of the slack is taken up by phyto-oestrogens and there is a gentle tapering.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along in a minute and either correct me or fill in the science-y bit. 😀

Tipp-Ex out the asterisk.

Sharpie.

Cross out and add.

*If you are offended by the word woman and have trouble with the definition of woman, tough shit.

This is the women's toilet so you are either a woman or in the wrong place.

Slightly off topic but where can I get some of these phyto-oestrogens please?

Veg! Sprouts like broccoli sprouts, radish, kale, I think. Alfalfa is good, too. Also some beans - soybeans. Sky Sprouts sell seeds for sprouting at home and that will give you an idea of what is available but I personally haven't bought from there. The effect is not as dramatic as HRT, but some women report symptoms easing.
