I got my copy delivered earlier, can't wait to have time to read it. Anyone else got theirs yet?

Read it - Kindle - it is very good.

I’m on the insanely delayed Amazon pre-order 🤦‍♀️. They have finally sent a revised delivery date. Tbf the reason I didn’t cancel and go elsewhere was because work is crazy busy and I wouldn’t have had time to enjoy it.

I read it on kindle a few days ago. I hadn't realised there had been delays for print copies.

The overall framing is excellent, and the chapter on Maya F is especially good. I'm ashamed that I had never heard of Stephanie Davies-Arai and didn't know about the activism that preceded the commissioning of the Cass Review. I wasn't paying attention back then. I also didn't know much about KJK other than her (undeserved) bad reputation. But thanks to Fiona M, I am now better informed!

It came out weeks ago! Where do you live, OP?

I read it and enjoyed it. Having been involved in this fight for several years now, I am fairly well-informed, but there was still stuff I didn't know. I thought the chapter on Maya was particularly good. And it was pleasing to see Stephanie Davies-Arai's work being acknowledged, because she was raising the alarm about child transitioning long before most other people cottoned on to what was happening, and she really suffered the consequences.

One day someone needs to write a book about the whole movement. There have been thousands of women who have done their bit over their years, some more than others, but a huge number have made personal sacrifices to fight this cause.

Stephanie Davis-Arai is an amazing woman and not mentioned enough although I think she got an honours a few years ago for her work with children.

When she heard activists were sending out these bananas gender information packs to schools she decided to write her own and send them out.

I love her back story which was on her website which I can relate to in some ways.
