Trans activists being racist again in the States

fromorbit · 26/08/2025 07:38

It is all kicked off in America over a sign held by a trans activist.

Was it a sign calling:

for "Dolls" to be armed
For feminists to be murdered
JKR a witch

Any of the other women hating and violent stuff their signs usually say?

No the sign compared trans "oppression" to black segregation.

Hey Winsome, if trans can't share your bathroom, then Blacks can't share my water fountain,' one side of the sign said.

The other side said: 'Hey Winsome, you have a gender neutral bathroom in your house.'

As we know TAs use that dumb rhetoric like that all the time online. They are most oppressed minority ever. Anyway the black Republicans are having a field day with this saying the Demovrats are racist and it has become quite the drama.

The Democrats are melting down about being accused of racism and have cancelled the white women holding the sign. Rather than thinking through their questionable ideas.

Moment pro-trans activist recoils on disgusting RACIST placard

A transgender activist was left in complete shock after Steve Baker, chairman of the Arlington County Democratic Party, confronted her for waving an overtly racist placard at a rally.

Why do these people think we had single sex facilities in the first place!
Black people aren't misrepresenting themselves as something else, they aren't Asian but say they're black. Trans people are saying they're one sex when in fact theyre the opposite sex. That's what we have issue with.
It's like Sall Grover recently said, they've had a decade or more to campaign for alternative spaces and services but they've spent their time vilifying women and anyone else who doesn't agree with them.

Justme56 · 26/08/2025 08:30

Her whole ‘you have a gender neutral loo at home’ and ‘bathroom’s should be non- discriminatory’ implies that she wants everything to be unisex. In reality that’s not what the protest was about - it was because males were using the female facilities. As said many times, they still want segregation just based on some idea of ‘identity’ not sex!

ErrolTheDragon · 26/08/2025 08:46

Lets hope some more Democrats get a wake up call.
it’s really not that hard to support the rights trans people should have without destroying rights women need. It shouldn’t be that hard to be truly progressive and accurately intersectional.

PennyAnnLane · 26/08/2025 08:55

It really drives home the fact that 50% of the population are below average intelligence, doesn’t it!

outofdate · 26/08/2025 09:48

Disgustingly stupid but not at all surprising given the IQ of these people.

DworkinWasRight · 26/08/2025 09:56

What I hadn't understood when I first saw a picture of this sign online is that Governor Winsome Earle-Sears is a Black woman. It makes it even more offensive than I originally thought. What an extraordinary display of white privilege: if you don't let men into women's toilets, then I won't let Black people like you use my water fountain. It's grotesque.

Unfortunately it can’t all be attributed to having a low IQ - genderism is notoriously rife in universities.

TempestTost · 26/08/2025 10:22

IN general, if I were to read a sign like that, I wouldn't interpret it as a threat, but a device to compare what the person thinks is equally discriminatory behaviour. I am very doubtful that woman does not want black people to use her water fountain.

It's a very stupid comparison and confusingly expressed, but I don't think it's useful to say she is actually advocating race segregation.

I think conflation of differences in sex with differences in race is genuine racism, whether or not the sign writer engaged their prefrontal cortex or just acted instinctively.

the poster is telling the black woman that she is as fundamentally different from a white person as a male is from a female.

It reads as absolutely basic racism to anyone who lives in the real world and understands sex.

But even if you (somehow) truly believe TWAW, it’s an invalid comparison. Males and females have equal provision of facilities (well… sometimes not as good for women but let that pass). It’s surely grossly offensive to compare with the segregation and unequal status of black people in the recent past in the US.

And that critical thinking is not something that is taught in schools.

"Critical thinking is the disciplined process of analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing information from various sources to form a reasoned judgment or make an informed decision. It involves questioning assumptions, identifying biases, considering different perspectives, and using logic and evidence to support conclusions, rather than accepting information passive"

I've come to realise that simply having a degree or a professional qualification does not automatically make someone independent of mind or fluent in critical thinking skills.

Anyone can swot, absorb and reproduce the sorts of information required to pass exams, but actively engaing with analytical thought processes is a skill that needs to be exercised, practised and disciplined.

It is, but I think it comes as a result of her own muddled thinking and lack of clarity on the issue, rather than from any malign intention.

People like her have been told that 'gender segregation' as the TRAS call it, is just the same as race segregation...though it clearly isn't...not if you are thinking clearly and able to deconstruct the argument, anyway.

It stems from the faith based position that TW are actually women, and TM are actually men......though I don't personally think that they really believe that themselves. It is just a non questioning mantra and article of faith.

Yes, and now that students are paying customers you’ll find that a lot of people get qualifications that they wouldn’t have under a merit based system.

But quite a few of the course's in Uni are low IQ courses, so a degree is no longer a signified of intelligence.

I don't think that's the point. We aren't talking about intelligence here, we are talking about social pressure, appeals to the emotions rather than the intellect, group mentality, the manipulation of news and media, and a university population being a captive audience. It makes little difference which degrees are being studied for, although I also agree with @PennyAnnLane's point about students being paying customers demanding some kind of product for their payment.

fromorbit · 26/08/2025 19:26

It is also worth remembering that some so called "liberals" in the US actually have been pushing for segregation on campus in recent years because they don't think black people should mix with others. Lots of examples of this:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/richardvedder/2018/11/15/racial-segregation-on-american-campuses-a-widespread-phenomenon/

They justify this thinking in a similar way to racists in the past did. Blacks and other ethnic minorities are inherently different to whites and feel happier amongst their own kind so it is best they are separate but equal. It is crazy in 2025 to have graduation days for black people, Latinos and Asians on a different days to white people.

This kind of thinking seeps into everything else. TAs seem to think that black women are less female than other women from the way they talk about them. There are so many cases of that.

Racial Segregation On American Campuses: A Widespread Phenomenon

A new racial segregation has crept onto many American campuses: racially-based housing and recreational facilities for example. This is counter to the principles of the civil rights movement and a color-blind society.

Given that GI is awash in Philosophy departments (and Philosophers), I agree. They should be leading the way in critical thinking, but seems to have completely lost it with this.

Plus they are anti-semitists to a man.

They don't understand sex though. They don't think it's real, or they think trans people are in some real way the opposite sex - maybe hormone wash theory or that sort of thing. Whatever they heard about in National Geographic.

Even if they are simply taking it as an article of faith, they really do believe that TWAW. It's the starting point for all of their thinking. Which meas that a person making this argument is actually saying the opposite of what you suggest, they are saying that it is wrong to say that black women are fundamentally differernt than white women.

When I talk to educators now about teaching critical thinking, they mostly seem to think that means teaching critical theory approaches.

When I realised that it explained a lot.

Enough4me · 27/08/2025 00:07

What would be the reason to stop someone doing something based on the colour of their skin? - hasn't society moved on from racism yet?
Stopping a man using women's facilities is important and completely separate from skin colour.
I don't care what a man looks like, he could be tattoed all over to make him bright purple, he's just a man.
