"Britain’s greatest female sailor has criticised a musical based on her life story after the cast members used their platform to stage a pro-trans fundraiser."

I'd say this was unbelievably rude but modern theatre types are a bunch of arseholes.

Bloody hypocrites.

If your politics don’t align with the production, then don’t take the role. If you’re that uncomfortable, you should have quit.

Oh, and don’t get other people to cough up money for you being “uncomfortable”. Pathetic.

Tracy is awesome, she was such an inspiration when I was younger I was delighted to discover she also stands up for women's rights.

I hadn’t heard of her charity before this so have donated.

Donated. I work in theatre and this is shameful. I thought things were starting to come around a bit, I've found fellow terfs and things are a lot less pronouny, but there's still a long way to go.

Which ‘brave’ actress was standing there shaking the bucket?

How awful for the writer/music director etc too and everyone who’s worked behind the scenes to get this up and running. What a kick in the teeth for them.
