Yes but it makes me sad to think of her going. Doubtful her predecessor will fight for women’s rights as fiercely and eloquently as she has.

My mistake, I failed to double check. Interesting point of clarity from her when it's being used by anyone who feels entitled to it.

Since nobody answered my question about Nicholson's current political affiliation I looked it up myself: she returned to the Tories back in the May era.

Because she's an 84 year-old woman, widowed in tragic circumstances after only a few years of marriage and I truly believe it's what she honestly thinks. Given her outstanding record of sending excoriating letters to people with power and influence in support of women's rights, I do find this kind of nit-picking ungracious. Write a better letter if you think you can.

The point she's making is it's not just bra-buying women who agree with her, it's everyone. It's like a version of the saying "the world and his wife".

She is wonderful and so is this letter. ⚡️⚡️

I suspect she added that part in because she is very aware that men who have made it to the top will only care about what other men think, as it will be other men who will give them future jobs or pensions or grace them with societal niceties that mere peasants can only dream about. In CEO circles their wives are (usually) still doing the dinner parties and charity events that further their husband's career.

Yeah I hate it but if it gets the job done then I'll hold my nose.

I was surprised by the term "psychiatric diagnosis of gender dysphoria" as I thought there were claims it was not a mental disorder. After a quick google I'm very glad to read that it still is. Less glad to read that around 50% of those diagnosed with gender dysphoria also have a personality disorder, which seems a shockingly large proportion!

I wish she/ somebody would publish a book of her letters some day. I would just love to sit and read them, one after another, interspersed with a tiny bit of context for each. It would be a wonderful terf Christmas present ( although we may come downstairs to find the wrapping paper has singed)!
