She’s just realised women aren’t hysterical fibbers.

I fervently believe that the rights of women and the interests of trans people are not irreconcilable at all.

she only wishes she paused so she could rethink strategy not because she believed the bill itself and its aims was flawed

Didn't she say something along the lines of "it's not up for debate"
The only reason she's at all reconsidering is because it bit her so hard on the ass you can see the scars on her face.
"Yeah I'd still be in charge if it wasn't for those pesky kids!"

She doesn’t get to play the victim card. No amount of apologising will save the SNP on this front. She threw women under the bus and was absolutely vile in the way she did it.

All the while claiming to be a feminist.

I'm still so angry about this.

Thanks for the link, I'm not watching it because I canna stand the women, but did she play the victim card?

Massively. I watched it, and I'm torn between feeling I should never dismiss the suffering of a woman as a pack of lies and, well, thinking, "I don't believe a word of that, or trust a single tear."

She’s just realised that significantly more women buy books than trans people…

Absolutely! A bit like M&S who like to piss off their core customers on a regular basis.

Which group have the biggest spending power? It’s not the trans community.

Well she's pissed a lot of them off now too.

Countdown2023 · 12/08/2025 15:00

She has done immense damage to the rights of women with her non-debate trans debate and actions. Not many friends left in Scotland which is why she wants to move to London!

We don’t need her in England so I am waiting for the keep-her-out petition to be created.

She will be on reality shows next year. She will mention JKR every couple of months to get some headlines.

Merrymouse · 12/08/2025 15:13

She makes Liz Truss look positively competent.

Would the SNP have retained power if they had won the referendum in 2015?

Rapists 'probably' forfeit right to choose gender - Sturgeon

'Probably'

Not definitely though.

I'm long past caring about what NS says but that's quite telling, TBF, it's a tacit admission that, in her view, for an individual to have others play along with his 'TWAW' fiction is a privilege that must be earned on an individual basis, or at least a privilege which can be revoked under extreme circumstances... it's not something that's just true no matter what.

We really need a better set of "re-act" options.

Especially one the acknowledges FWR humour!

I completely agree. "Thanks," "Agree," and "Love" are barely any different from each other.

I'd like a "Shocked" one too.

Davros · 12/08/2025 20:37

I saw some protests on the telly against JD Vance holidaying in the Cotswolds. Can we do something similar?

GallantKumquat · 13/08/2025 17:04

From the comments:

“I naturally gravitated to London, that great cesspool into which all the loungers and idlers of the Empire are irresistibly drained.”
Arthur Conan Doyle had Sturgeon to a ‘T’.

🤣

CarefulN0w · 13/08/2025 18:47

I can’t wait to see how many, many times JKR’s new book will outsell NS’.
