Mausoleum Graffitied With 'Trans Rights'

Can't see another post on this but popped up today. Seems like a strange location for political graffiti, to say the least. I'm going to go ahead and assume that a stately home has very few links to trans people. A grave completely unrelated to 'the cause' seems like an odd choice of location.

Not really sure how to drop a link, so apologies if there's a tidier way.

Oh, that's so disrespectful but I suppose thats the hallmark of the movement

Not condoning this behaviour but silver lining is hopefully people on the fence of thinking they are some oppressed group begin to see the aggression and entitlement that often accompanies men’s rights movements

'As everybody should have the same rights...'

We have.

I'm surprised the BBC is even reporting it TBH. Even more so as they're not implying it was some sort of false flag operation by anti-trans bigots.

Though I'm impressed with the early colour photo they found to illustrate the report.

The article was quoting that the mausoleum said they had every right to demonstrate for equal rights but they wished they had found another way. It was uncritical and sympathetic to the TRAs. Of course no questioning of what rights they don't have....

Mochudubh · 01/08/2025 10:56

Yeah, I know it's a low bar but I'll take the fact they not only reported it but published a photo of the offending graffiti as a positive.

Wasn't a Dashwood the creator of the Hellfire Club? A nobs' club for doing selfish and outrageous things for kicks, IIRC.

Note that it’s tagged as a local news story (for local people) & NOT tagged as a trans or alphabetti story.

Even though the Beeb has a dedicated “LGBTQIAWTF” corespondent.

Probably too busy chasing the story of a Drag Queen in Runcorn who broke a fingernail, which will be on national news.

Cross-dressing being all part of a jolly night out for Dashwood, I wonder if he's been retrotransed by some activists and that's what's behind the graffiti.

OMG not a fingernail???? Sending thoughts and prayers!!!!! I guess the drag queen posted "Arrived at A+E" and the BBC DM'd that hun to get the full story.

Anyway you can't expect their Alphabetti Spaghetti correspondent to cover this story, it would be literal violence and genocide to ask them to write an article that doesn't include the words "daring" "brave" and "beautiful", and I'm not sure you're allowed to describe crimes that way.
