I read your Twitter posts during Trumps first term, delighting in your wit. During the isolation of Covid I would read out your eagerly awaited installments of the Ickerbod to my children, appreciating your kindness, skill and leadership during a pretty scary time. Then, when I felt increasingly uncomfortably in an unrecognisable captured world, doubting my self and my qualms as all of my other look toos crumbled (Guardian, BBC, Labour Party). You were suddenly there again as as this strong, unwavering beacon of sense, humour, bravery and inspiration. A lightening rod that took a whole world full of shit and condemnation for the rest of us and through following you I found this place and realised I am not mad or evil or stupid or alone. You are quite simply my hero. Thank you. I hope you have the best birthday ever.

@Marylou62 me being a massive Harry potter fan, in the books he was born in 1980 and turned 11 in 1991. His parents were killed by Voldemort in 1981 on Halloween night.

So he's 45 today although if yes, if you go by book anniversary then the series itself is 28 years old😊
