“Waiting list for gynaecology is the biggest.
And women make up a higher proportion of those waiting (57%), compared to men, in all cases where sex is recorded.”
This article got me thinking… where does this leave those who identify as a gender other than what is assigned at birth?
I’ve always wondered where in the gynaecology world they would fit in and how that affects statistics.
Also this shows that health inequalities affect biological women disproportionately particularly in the case of gynaecology, and particularly in deprived areas. I think this is a far more concerning and important issue than some trans issues.
