Hi Mumsnet and (as ever) please forgive me interloping!

I just wanted to share a piece I did on a gay rights analysis of the lesbian interveners case in the Supreme Court:

In praise of the lesbian interveners

How the LGB Alliance, Scottish Lesbians and the Lesbian Project defended gay rights in the Supreme Court

Thanks for the great article Dennis.
The Scottish Goverment's "what sexual orientation am I?" flowchart looks like a map of a trainyard with switches everywhere to change tracks. Reminds me of Germany during the troubles for some unfathomable reason. It's sort of dystopian that your sexuality under this virtue ponzi scheme is determined both by biological sex and pieces of government issued paper. I'm sort of surprised that they bothered to leave the biology bit in, and didn't just simplify it down to the government issued papieren.
Which brings me to a malicious compliance question. Can a non trans person apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate that states their gender corresponds to their biological sex? Imagine the chaos that could be caused if lots of men and women got GRCs that confirmed they were indeed men and women. I'm sure a lot of fun could be had with that. To refuse to issue one could be considered discrimination under the Equality Act?
One effect of this would be the Scottish Government would have to double the amount of train tracks in their flowchart above.
To take that further "gender reassignment" is a protected characteristic under the EA. Could it be argued that a gender reassignment status of "not reassigned" is a status? and that discriminating against someone who has the gender reassignment status of "not reassigned" as opposed to "reassigned" faces equal discrimination?

Malicious compliance whataboutery aside, thank you Dennis for all you have done for gay rights. I'm not gay, but I recognise full well that everyone fighting for gay rights has the added effect of protecting my rights at the same time. I've never felt I owe so much to the gay and lesbian community as I do now after all this gender hogwash. My grattitude to all of you.

I wanted to remind people of Riley J Dennis' Genital Preferences are Transphobic, but I thought it would be much more platable if we had an expert along to help us understand.
