I’m torn. It’s an appalling attitude and I don’t like the whole seeding the population with his awesomeness stuff.
However once you move past that, the rest of it makes sense for a man in his position. I would think there are a lot of high profile people who run their affairs the same way- top actors, Rockefeller, Kennedy types. Prince Andrew…
Now by my standards it’s immoral and distasteful, but that’s not my world. There’s a logic to it.
The man is an interesting mix between brilliant and clueless, and has the money to get his own way whether he’s right or wrong. It’s not unusual for men in that position to insist on it, I don’t think.
<my experience with men in that position is zilch, but men generally seem to wield their power happily when they can>
