Blair Hamilton complained to IPSO regarding the reference to Hamilton as a biological male in an article last year about women’s football. IPSO investigated bit found no breach, so the complaint was not upheld.

Great article by Oliver Brown and excellent decision by IPSOS.

Really interesting to hear about your inclusive games @Middleagedstriker. They sound great and the perfect way for everyone to compete. Do I buy BH as an innocent led astray? Not so much.

It's a good mix. there are a few men that present as men, a few non-binary and a few trans women (and men). I would say the majority are just women who present as such. The men that do play play respectfully. It works really well. It's basically just people that want to play football in an inclusive way. For me the most important part of that is that they don't care if you're a bit shit and are very encouraging of everyone.

What you're describing is a mixed-sex club - the club is (I presume) being open and honest by saying that you'll play with both sexes and you'll be required to play in positive and supportive way. What is unacceptable is when women aren't given the choice and are told that their women's club is now accepting men who claim they're women and they've to shut up about it or leave. Blair is a biological male, and whether he likes it or not, and his presence in a women's team and league has caused anger, upset and distress.

I think "inclusive" is fine as a term as long as it's crystal clear it's completely mixed sex.

@Middleagedstriker If you use changing rooms are they split by biological sex?

Thanks for your posts btw, they're interesting. Perhaps not least because they're another demonstration that tw are not prohibited from playing sport. Also glad there's a spot for tm on testosterone who always seem overlooked but would, it seems, genuinely struggle to find a sport.

And, in a packed post today, here's Oliver Brown's Telegraph article

He seems a little gleeful 😁

Oh I say you haven't played grassroots football for a while. I play on about 10 different pitxhes and only a couple have a changing room! One of them doent even have a couple don't even have a toilet!
