This is excellent from Helen Joyce, the bit about the Irish young woman is hilarious whilst also being Orwellian, how must her parents feel?!

Well said Bundle (and zombie thread BTW but it did allow me to reread that Helen Joyce article which is great).

It isn’t just allowing mentally disturbed children to make these decisions. It’s that, as your example vividly shows, the entire establishment push them into it. No one is saying stop and think, take a weekend in the country, touch grass, get a hobby. Professional adults who should know better, tell children their options are suicide or forever damaging their bodies. This is truly evil.
