I can only imagine how powerless you feel, watching your child who is technically and legally an adult, but will always be your child, embarking on a dangerous journey.

Oh god sorry @MarieDeGournay didn't mean to do that but it is how I feel. It does help to know people out there care!

This kid is PERFECT. Could be a model, honestly. And she's kind and funny and caring (and diagnosed autistic). But unfortunately I feel like shes been swept up by a cult and I can only watch from the outside with my broken heart.

For anyone else going through this the Bayswater parent support forum is an absolute lifeline.

Don't say sorry! the way you expressed your love for your daughter just got to me.. it highlighted just how basic and profound a mother's love for her 'babies' is, regardless of their age..

And much love=much hurt.
