Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs.

cariadlet · 31/01/2025 06:23

I've heard rumours that the Pope's a Catholic.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 31/01/2025 07:29

trans media watch under the leadership of Helen belcher has always been clear that its remit has been to ensure MSM is captured

CarefulN0w · 31/01/2025 08:38

And the Times have ceased comments. It's entertaining to read the few cult defenders though.

FlowchartRequired · 31/01/2025 08:56

Can someone who can see the comments screenshot or quote for those of us who cannot?

The usual person is going on about genital inspections in the comments.

This is the comment with the most recommendations:@FlowchartRequired but they ended omments after only 34 comments.
"The phrase ‘legally a woman’ is such a legal fiction. How does one legally become the opposite sex? It’s all just nonsense."

Wow what a revelation
Not
(Those socks on the person on the left are too tight- not good for the circulation. And not a good look)

Some comments:

Ipsos "taken over by transgender lobby"
Ipsos "taken over by transgender lobby"
Ipsos "taken over by transgender lobby"

That's why we're in this mess. The gender loons targeted all the regulators to ensure that the madness would be imposed. Even Ofsted were once Stonewall champions. The CQC (responsible for health and social care) is still one. Which is why the CQC originally rated GIDs as being a good service and why they fail with their duty to safeguard vulnerable children from trans extremism.

IDareSay · 31/01/2025 09:12

Bah, they have posted in reverse order, but you can get the gist.

FlowchartRequired · 31/01/2025 09:22

Thank you @Igneococcus and @IDareSay .

The Ipso[s?] response is such a word salad, how to say nothing in a couple of paragraphs🙄
(The person on the right in the blue t-shirt is taking the head-tilt to dangerous extremes - not good for the continued attachment of head to torso.)

WhoPutTheBomp Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs.
Never heard that one before, love it!Grin

Considering that I've never seen anyone on the GC side ever suggest genital inspections or do anything but nix the idea, it's telling how frequently we see TRAs bringing it up.
They get far too excited, considering how often we've said 'No, thank you'.
Sorry David Davina, women aren't interested in 'forcing' you to show your willy in the ladies. Maybe lay off the porn.

This point can't be repeated too often. It's a male fantasy that's often repeated as if it's some sort of gotcha. While women know that sexing people (often in terms of keeping children and women safe) is nothing to do with inspecting genitals.
Yet still they drivel on....🙄

He claimed that Ipso had a particularly “tight relationship” with Mermaids, a charity which has previously promoted puberty blockers and chest binders to children.

While Mr Roeber was writing his report, he was cc’d an email from Charlotte Urwin, the watchdog’s former head of standards, to Susie Green, Mermaids' chief executive at the time

In the email, seen by The Telegraph, Ms Urwin referred to “an enjoyable evening speaking to members of Mermaids and then sitting in your [Ms Green’s] kitchen setting the world to rights”.

Ffs. Every newspapers should be up in arms about this!

Datun · 31/01/2025 11:43

I'm guessing this is being reported so that newspapers can garner support to drop the guidelines altogether.

About bloody time.

Hope you're right. I'm fed up of reading about all the male violent criminals, paedophiles and sex offenders being called "she" in mangled articles about court cases.
Time for the media to return to reporting facts and the truth.

InfoSecInTheCity · 31/01/2025 12:03

This idea that it's difficult to know if someone is male or female is baffling. I know we all have different self images so it can be the case that what you see in the mirror isn't reflective or reality, but our perception of other people isn't likewise affected so they can see each other right?

There a male who works in a local beauty store, seems very nice, always polite and helpful, does their makeup beautifully and clearly puts a lot of effort into outfits and hairstyles that are flattering and appropriate for the setting, but also very clearly male regardless of chosen pronouns and self identity. It's obvious from the other side of the store with barely a glance and more so when they speak, no one would need to check genitals for clarification.

There are a very very small number of people who can probably 'pass' in the right circumstances, but that number is vanishingly small.

Igmum · 31/01/2025 15:02

TRAs are so incredibly brilliant at infiltrating government and professional bodies of all kinds. Sunlight and grass roots sanity is starting to expose this but they are still so embedded in many institutions (yes I'm looking at you BBC, the Labour Party and don't get me started of the Liberals). It's the ideological equivalent of Japanese knotweed. I hope we'll be able to root most of it out but oh my the scars it will leave and the number of people who have suffered as a result is truly frightening.
