Finally got round to reading the UK edition of Abigail Shrier's book, Irreversible Damage: Teenage Girls and the Transgender Craze.
It had been on my radar since it first appeared in the States in 2020, but I hadn't made time to read it. I'd even wondered if events had slightly overtaken the content.
What I wasn't prepared for is how beautifully written it is, and what a quietly devastating case she builds up. It's full of not only clear thinking, but also warm humanity, and telling anecdotes that every parent will recognise.
Gosh it's good. If anybody else hasn't bothered with it, please do.
