Just that, really. Started googling and almost all recent research seems to be LGBTQIA+, which is useless because we are all aware of the link between autism and TQ+.

I'm a lesbian.

I've read that. It does seem to show that autistic women are more likely to identify as lesbians. It's also steeped in LGBTQIA+ language: it several times uses the phrase 'sex assigned at birth' which leaves me wondering. I've also asked around various lesbian networks to find out if any of several hundred lesbians I'm linked to participated in the research. No one reports that they did. Which raises the question that by advertising on FB for their non-autistic participants they got mainly straight white female respondents — which I think is acknowledged in the Limitations section.

I'm trying to find high-quality research (that as a lay person I can access) just about lesbians and autism.

You could try a university library catalogue (university of your choice), which is usually open to everyone, without university ID or log-in. They often have search algorithms which favour actual scientific research (instead of basic google). There are often plenty of open access results, too.
Alternatively, through Google Scholar.
In both you can then look for results from previous years which might have been less influenced by ideology.

I don't think you'll find it because let's be honest, most researchers have ignored the fact that women can be autistic for years.

For them to be interested in autistic women who are lesbians they'd first need to acknowledge that they have autism.

Yes, I know. It's a piece of research crying out to be done.

I'm not entirely sure what research you're after. What research do you want about lesbians with autism?
