The fragrant Alexandria Stewart is currently in the female wing of HMP Greenock.

Poor lamb is thankfully not entirely unsupported, there's a partner (I'm assuming business) who's also, allegedly' come in for abuse from the same source.

The court heard that Sutherley, 51, would refer to Stewart and her (sic) partner, Nyomi Fee, a notorious child killer serving a life sentence for murder, as “the ty and the beast” or “the ty and the d**e”.

My redactions. Nyomi Fee is a child killer. I advise a strong stomach, even for the BBC articles about what she did. Glad to see she's making friends in prison

Mr Lynch asked Stewart if she had undergone any surgery as part of her transition to identifying as a woman.

Stewart said she had undergone a tracheal shave in 2019 to reduce the prominence of the Adam’s apple but had otherwise had no gender surgery.

I hope Nyomi's using protection.

Tbf, it does seem he began transitioning before he got stabby. Considering how little he's done though in the intervening period, I suspect at the time it was head tilt...possibly hair and lippy, but (from the photo) only on special occasions. You'd think a police interview would be special.

Indeed - how much is it costing? I wonder if there are any other prisoners in the womens’ estate who are having their feelings hurt and being called names by other prisoners? Do they all get to take their case to court?

Still, good to see prominent reporting in the media throwing light on the fact that biological men ARE in Scottish womens’ jails.

Interesting. So those making the decisions about who goes where have realised that a GRC does not turn someone into an actual woman.

I do think that women who have to put up with men in their prisons should make it as uncomfortable as possible for them so it is not seen as the easy option. Perhaps the cold shoulder? Although how the woman who has to share a cell copes I am not sure. Unimaginable trauma.

I.dont know if this is a Scottish thing, but if you forget a word or someone's name you may well use 'thingummy', it's not an offensive term. And he is male.

Re. cosmetic surgery. I strongly suspect he could have had the 'gender affirming care' he wanted. The Scottish taxpayers would have kindly footed the bill. For some unfathomable reason he hasn't. It can't be that he doesn't want to abuse the public purse, or he'd not be taking this action and he'd still have the trachea male puberty gave him.

Press had a field day of it, he’d have to have a team of wardens with him to get to Brighton for the op, which was Susie Ted of being facial not genital. In the end it was cancelled because the surgeon felt he couldn’t keep other patients safe. But it was all to be funded from tax. Paris still has a while to serve.

Please please let's have a sensible judge. I can't imagine these are the most dramatic insults ever heard in prison. Is the defence that Sutherly is GC? If so, she has a right to believe what she does and the court should not compel speech. And please let that same judge move these murderous men to the male estate.

There are no sex crimes here, iirc, but if it's a question of being clear when discussing something where the sex is relevant?

It does sound like Sutherley was verbally abusive (more than just misgendering). But why the hell was Stewart in the women's prison? That's the real abuse. I thought this was not allowed anymore, even in crazy Scotland?

And the verdict is in. The jury returned a verdict of Not Proven!!

She has been acquitted!!
