phse/life skills teacher doesn't know what the Cass review is

parents evening tonight for my year 8.
Her teacher spoke about the upcoming lessons and mentioned that they'd be looking at gender identity. I asked her if they'd be approaching these lessons with the Cass review in mind and it was
the first time she'd heard of it! Seriously? She's teaching this without any knowledge of the Cass review? How would you approach? My daughter knows you can't change sex and knows that boys can wear pink and have long hair and like musicals and makeup without being girls
and that girls can have short hair, play football and like lego without being boys.
Would you email school? I suspect many schools
are willfully uneducated on this and pushing the harmful affirmative nonsense.

Thats the same document that I posted on the screenshot (although I didn't do a good job as cut the top and bottom off on my phone), but it is the same document. It does say it is under review.

I just remember my head mentioning it but saying its currently under review so we didn't spend much time on it in September, but she did cover the information included in it. I assume there must be a more detailed update coming. There's no mention of Cass in the statement so no reason why any teacher would be aware of the Cass study unless they are following the news (or mumsnet). I only know as I follow the issue and but I generally don't bring it up in discussion at work. Luckily I work in a sensible school so no need to make a big fuss.

Schools and colleges have specific legal duties that are framed by a child’s biological sex. While legislation exists that allows adults to go through a process to change their legal sex, children’s legal sex is always the same as their biological sex.

This is good. Surely this means all single sex facilities should be just that as should sports.

Cass Review is referenced at para 206 of KCSIE.

Teachers should know about the Cass Review.

I don’t necessarily blame individual teachers but I do blame the DfE, unions and possibly senior leaders/safeguarding leads.
