I don’t know how a tall, athletic man could fit into a ten year old girl’s clothes. He is a bit vague when he says ‘about 10’ years old. Is this that thing of lying about age to sound less sexual? The men say “I have been doing this since I was five”, because they know that admitting it started when they were thirteen, would clearly make it sexual in other people’s minds.
I am with Datun, about him speaking about it to control the narrative. A fifteen or sixteen year old girl is far more likely to a) have some clothes that would fit a male decathlon winner, and b), have the wherewithal to notice her clothes have been interfered with, and to set up a camera to catch the perpetrator.
If a teenaged girl caught her dad dressing in her clothes, she would definitely speak to people for support, as would her mother. The friends who they leant on would be very tempted to tell others about it- very few people have the self-control to keep a secret that big to themselves. So it was probably one of those pieces of hot gossip flying around, widely known, that was ‘bound to come out’ at some point. So Jenner decided to announce it publicly first, make out it was a child’s clothes, so people wouldn’t picture the actual teenager’s bras, knickers, tights and skirts he was posing in.
