SPOTY is supposed to be about personality too though, and Humphries, while brilliant, isn't as impactful as Littler on that front, he's just nice. Cavendish should have been on the list, and definitely has a personality....

Michael Owen should never have won it for personality based reasons.

As an aside, I just checked out the nominees for SPOTY. How the actual fuck is Jasmin Paris not on there??!!

(If you don't know who she is, google Jasmin Paris Barkley Marathon and prepare to have your mind blown. You're welcome).

Is jasmine the spine race runner who held the record ( male and female ) for a while whilst breastfeeding her child ?

murasaki · 09/12/2024 23:06

Yes, she should be, it was an astonishing achievement. But it's also a personalty award and she's not very well known. They should scrap the personality bit and do it on achievement.

Yes she did the Pennine way race while expressing breast milk. She's also a vet. She's an absolute heroine! The Barkley is unbelievably tough and for a woman to finish is just amazing.

(Can you tell I'm a bit in awe of her?! 🤣)

Agreed!

Er no. She should not be on the list. Littler is wrong. Cannot understand how the BBC can have a world category for just football.

@ILikeDungs Do not lecture me! You know what I meant. Honestly - lighten up. Other footballing women are available that are women! Ok?

I apologise, I do tend to get too worked up over language.
