It's not assisted dying, though, it's official euthanasia.
The assisted dying bill will do nothing for people who suffer chronic pain etc., as they are not terminally ill. In other words, no matter how unbearable your life is, you just have to suffer on, unless you get something that has a time limit on it and then you can shorten your suffering by 6 months or something.
Three failed surgeries must have left this poor women in an awful state physically as well as psychologically.
I hope the renewed interest in this case highlights the dangers of 'gender reassignment surgery' more than the proposed assisted dying bill, which wouldn't cover a case like this.
