Diva Magazine is sharing an open letter to Wes Streeting dated 15th October which asks him to disregard the Cass Report and reinstate access to puberty blockers for "trans children".

The link to the letter is available from this page (via the Transactual website link within it):

The usual suspects are signatories.... plus several members of the NHS and university lecturers. Readers are invited to add their name to the letter.

Open letter issued to Health Secretary by trans community

Over 100 individuals and organisations have issued an open letter to the Health Secretary criticising the Cass Review

Interesting that not a single signatory had their own puberty blocked as a child.

All the usual suspects who transitioned later in life after fathering children.

It's chilling.

(some of) These are supposedly educated adults with jobs that the rest of us rely on to be discharged responsibly. They have an absolute responsibility to know what the fuck they are talking about. If they genuinely think Cass is flawed then they need to present the evidence they have for that, but it really needs to be much better than ‘I don’t like the outcome’

Exactly, and without any scientific evidence I hope nobody in government will take these petitions seriously

I wonder what interest a doctor who lops tits off of heathy women and a woman who runs a company offering blood testing for "trans and non binary people" could possibly have in the medicalisation of children and young people with gender identity concerns?

Out of the first 5 signatories only one is a woman so I didn't bother looking further...

Seeing Neeves in the top 5 reminded me that I came across this in a different context.

Katie Neeves complained to the Independent Press Standards Organisation that the Daily Mail breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) and Clause 10 (Clandestine devices and subterfuge) of the Editors’ Code of Practice in an article headlined “The ten 'trans women' that Rowling dared to label as 'men'”, published on 2 April 2024.

NB: IPSO investigated and concluded no breaches occurred.

On reflection, quite a number of the usual suspects are missing. E.g., Carmichael, Kelly, bloke whose name is now forever 'Man at bus stop,' India W etc.

IPSO also investigated a complaint by Aidan Kelly.

Aidan Kelly complained to the Independent Press Standards Organisation that Mail Online breached Clause 1 (Accuracy), Clause 3 (Harassment), and Clause 12 (Discrimination) of the Editors’ Code of Practice in an article headlined “Meet the doctors who doled out puberty blockers to a generation of vulnerable children, including a girl just because she liked Thomas the Tank Engine as a toddler - and how some are still offering the powerful drugs privately...”, published on 10 April 2024.

NB: IPSO investigated and concluded no breaches occurred.

Pwahahaha - usual suspects - none of them should be working for the NHS

You've just reminded me, I didn't see Harrop on there (I may have skimmed too quickly).

In the late 90s, when I was thinking that I might be lesbian but not ready to come out, I used to buy Diva every month.

And now look at it.

People working for trans charities and lobby groups, lunatic academics and parents of trans kids. A general shortage of members of the public.

Good to know about Hokoria though, I'd never heard of it either.

To be fair, few would recognise ButterflyH's RL name (I wouldn't) even if it were there.
