I'm disgusted with Labour. When we withdrew from Afghanistan the twitter feed of Lammy and other Labour MPs were full of condemnation for their actions.
Now they have power - silence.

I've just checked and they haven't set up a petitions committee yet, so can't even petition them.

Came across this statement of support for CEDAW initiative. No UK.

We, Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Finland, Honduras, Ireland, Iceland, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malawi, Morocco, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Germany, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, condemn the gross and systematic human rights violations and abuses in Afghanistan, particularly the gender-based discrimination against women and girls.

No US either but I don't think they've signed CEDAW.

Labour seem to be a bit busy buying clothes. Perhaps Afghanistan just isn't fashionable enough for them.

Some people really are unteathered from reality.

So all the women have to do is identify and dress as men and they will be perfectly entitled to walk down any street unaccompanied?! Somehow, I don’t think so!
