Pirated books? How would that work? Did they actually go to the bother of printing out unlicensed copies from dodgy websites? If they did the whole 7 books that’s a shit-tonne of paper and ink, it would have cost them more than just buying the set second hand.

Anyone that's tried burning a book or a lot of bound paper knows it is a complete pain in the arse, makes more ash than heat, keeps putting itself out, just overall would be the worst fire type for your roasting needs. And there's the toxic crap too.
Sure burn a book, I did my maths jotter one time, but I wasn't thick enough to try and cook a snack on it.
