For the first time, Labour Women's Declaration has been allowed a stall at the Labour national conference. They've run a series of very well-attended events. This one was chaired by Tonia Antoniazzi, one of very few Labour politicians prepared to stick their head above the parapet for women's rights. It's been a highly successful conference for LWD, after years spent standing in the rain with banners outside the venue. Well done to all involved.

It is a positive move.

Meanwhile LWD recently had stands at Scottish and Welsh conferences as well so internally the battle is stepping up.

With supporters in the cabinet LWD is fighting back against gender stuff.

This is guesswork on my part, but one suspects that Labour's recent popularity issues might impact the approach to controversial stuff like the Conversion bill. We shall see.
