Sparkles vs Councilor Laurie Burton

The fetishist TA Sophie Sparkles [Molly] got into a twitter fight with longstanding gender critical Southend Labour Councilor Laurie Burton. When Burton said correctly Sophie was a man and had no right to enter women's spaces Sophie threatened to escalate by reporting him. Now the Southend press has written a biased article about the situation:

Just occurred to me if Sophie really was a woman she'd be called Karen.

This is a LABOUR councillor confidently talking in a derogatory and transphobic way about a woman who is trans - safe in the knowledge @UKLabour @KeirStarmer @MidBucksLabour will do absolutely nothing. If only Sophie had been Gay, Black, Jewish. “I will protect women and girls from Gays, Blacks, Jews etc.” Yeah, wouldn’t get away with that. What @lwhb_ is saying about the law isn’t even correct. There are no ‘single sex spaces’ in the UK. The Suffragettes got rid. How do you protect something that doesn’t exist? Trans people have been LEGALLY using facilities of their choice since the 1960s. I know Willoughby lives in a parallel universe and there's not much point in looking for truth or logic in Willoughby's ranting, but that's pretty out there even by Willougby's standards.

Honestly, when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be another legal case involving a transgender dog, with Sparkles being a little Maltese terrier or something. Why do they claim they dream of passing but give themselves names belonging to a cabaret turn?

I think it’s a reference to women being able to join certain spaces previously reserved for men. Like golf clubs. Keen of golf clubs, those suffragettes.

All these stroppy opinionated women kind of blur into one homogeneous group, across the centuries. Golf clubs, polling booths… similar really.

On occasion I find myself standing behind a slender, tall short haired figure wearing jeans, T-shirt, trainers, and wondering how I’m so sure they are female.

There is a full report from a local trans rights group and l have screen shot all the abuse which emanated from Sophie's posts. It is brutal and extremist and Burton has made no attempt to stop it and activly 'liked' and added to the abusive conversation. Regardless of your opinion on Sophie or trans people in general this is not acceptable behaviour from any public official and you should not support it.

I know lady. I’m pointing out that India is squashing together all the progress made by women across the generations in accessing male only spaces including golf clubs, to ‘suffragettes’.

So Fred, why aren't you trying to do something about the very real, actual violence against women? You claim to be one and yet only ever seem concerned about people with penises.

Women are in far more danger than trans people but you just don't give a shit about them. As a transwoman, Sophie is one of the safest people in the country. The chance of being murdered actually went down after he decided to be trans.
