So glad to see Hannah Barnes being rewarded for her outstanding work.

https://mjauk.org/2024/09/11/hannah-is-an-awards-barnes-stormer/

"Hannah collected the prize for Feature of the Year (general audience) for a searing, and deeply personal, piece for the New Statesman on birth trauma.
She won Science Explained and the Dr David Delvin award for Sex and Sexual Health Journalism for pieces which detailed the litany of failings at the Tavistock GIDS clinic — which also the focus of her bestselling book Time to Think. Her Delvin entry also took the headline award for Outstanding Achievement."

Wow! How good to see an investigative journalist being recognised for her work.

I hope the book publishers are now taking note of these awards. IIRC she had some difficulty getting anyone to publish Time to Think

Congratulations to Hannah, and to the MJA for refusing to kowtow to currently powerful interests. It’s good to see valuable investigative reporting recognised by a professional body, at a time when the BMA itself is trying to undermine the Cass report.

Congratulations to Hannah.

She wrote an excellent, readable and important book.

It explained so much to me about how an NHS service that initially existed and functioned to help children started to harm them.
