www.stonewall.org.uk/schools-colleges/stonewall-school-college-champion-membership

Following a strategic review, we’ve taken the decision to stop offering new memberships of our School and College Champions programme. We are proud to have provided training to thousands of teachers across the country over a period of almost 20 years.

Excellent news!!

I guess so….

It's disgusting that they've recommended Mermaids given the investigation is not yet complete.

Reckon they're setting up something separate (but together) that they will punt out as purely educational and couch it in terms of 'education around gender questioning matters and laws'. Identifying as Not a Political Activist Group, as it were.

'No, of course we aren't Stonewall. No, we don't create conflicts of financial interest by going into schools and then suing schools, we're completely different, we are purely an educational charity with access to legal advice for our subscribers'.

So Stonewall and The Good Law Project making strategic withdrawals from areas involving children and trans ideology.

What else is the common factor here. Together with Mermaids the money have have been raising has dropped significantly. Mermaids has such a big cash flow crisis it will have to go a complete restructure if it is to survive. Its difficult to see how it will.

Stonewall have been using the trans train as their gravy train. Its been how they've been generating money. But like Mermaids, their income is down and they now have a significant rival in the LGB Alliance. They no longer have a monopoly. And after the Cass Review, its becoming increasingly toxic to their entire organisation to be targeting children and teenagers with their agenda. Parents have woken up and don't like it. There is a risk of an even bigger back lash.

And the Good Law Project. Donations for their last grift were down enormously. They literally can't afford to do another trans case. They don't necessarily aim to win - its a self supporting grift which isn't about trans rights at all - and its hurting the entire operation. If they don't look towards a more popular bandwagon, they will cease to make money.

Its always about following the money. And look. It seems the money has dried up. No one wants to support this nonsense anymore.

Universities next?! (Ha, I can dream)

The university I work for disassociated itself from stonewall last year thank god

Instead of funding or taking on legal cases ourselves, we’ll be supporting a trans and queer organisation with a three-year funding commitment. We’ve thought long and hard about the best way to keep fighting for trans rights and lives, and we feel that this is the moment for us to put our weight behind an organisation led by trans people.

Have they mentioned who? Unless I'm blind and missed it.

anyolddinosaur · 03/09/2024 19:22

Unfortunately you are still not allowed to know what your children are being taught. There is an appeal going to an Upper Tribunal shortly because the Information Commissioner upheld the school's refusal to give out information. There is a request for funding - can be found by googling Transparency In Schools - FOI Appeal To Access Secret Lesson Plan

And how much.

"We are committing 50p for 3 years to a charity no one has ever heard of but is run by a trans person we are mates with".

anyolddinosaur · 03/09/2024 19:27

Obviously looking for a way to distance themselves from legal liability.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 03/09/2024 19:31

Also what is "The Clare Project" that they mention? Something to do with an inquest for a trans person.

itsmabeline · 03/09/2024 19:55

Withdrawing?

They should be pushed out with sticks and warded off with garlic.

Really aggressive lobbying, they still have friends in Government.

The next move of the rainbow and unicorn brigade is targeting SEND and autistic charities as that's where the money is. Some of these charities NAS have already been captured & they are really targeting kids with autism. It's really disturbing & worrying that vulnerable children with disabilities are being targeted.

Bannedontherun · 03/09/2024 21:13

@RaspberryWhirls Hi what info do you have on that please.

@RaspberryWhirls Hi what info do you have on that please.

Go on just about any autism charity website and look up menopause.

Autistic women don't go through menopause. It's autistic people.

Weirdly autistic people apparently tend to have a worse experience with menopause because they are particularly sensitive to hormone changes.

This is odd, because it seems that autistic people seem to have bigger issues with puberty too.

And it makes you wonder what might happen if you gave the wrong hormones to autistic people too.

And whether there's an issue here that might be better dealt with if we used the words women and girls and actually started to explore why women's health is so fucked in the head and under researched and understood.

Because clearly there's a massive gap in understanding here... That it wouldn't surprise me as being deliberately fucking suppressed to serve the agendas of males.

Worse still, if autistic women have particular sensitivities to hormones and have worse PMT and are more likely to have PMDD and really struggle with menopause wtf happens to autistic men who take female hormones? Because this may not be the same as the general male population either.

Noting the shortage of HRT drugs which will clearly negatively impact autistic women, sorry people, far more.

(I am just finding this out and it's made me absolutely RAGE).

Sometimes I second-guess myself and think 'Maybe I'm too cynical and suspicious about things'.

<90 minutes later>

'Oh. I'm not.'
