Roxanne Tickle proves that trans rights now trump women’s rights

A landmark discrimination case in Australia has seen a trans woman triumph against a female-only app – this fake liberalism is a smokescreen ...

... for what is really happening. One of the reasons for female-only spaces is because of male violence – but women are no longer allowed to say no to men in any shape or form. They are not allowed to call them men even when it is obvious that they are.

Article by Suzanne Moore at https://www.telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2024/08/26/roxanne-tickle-proves-trans-rights-now-trump-womens-rights/

Also available to read at https://archive.is/5quL9

(I know there are existing threads about the court case, but thought the article is worth reading and also - IMO - a good one to share for those who aren't familiar with the back ground to this. And because FWR thread titles get picked up by internet seach engines, good to have another search engine result that spells out the attack on women's rights!)

Hopefully the sight of this fat greasy oaf will peak many people. Even the vocal trans activists such as Willoughby are being strangely quiet about it on X. Almost like they are embarrassed to have it pointed out how ridiculous their movement is with one look at his picture ! If Tickle was a glamorous trans they would be crowing from the rooftops.

Then there's the additional insult to injury of financial compensation this man (and others like him) will receive for their "hurt feelings".

He's another of the "human cane toad" variety of man. Funny how it's so often those men who decide they're stunning and beautiful (or demure and mindful) laydees.

I think they probably meant that they put Mens rights over Womens rights (or children's), rather than being activists. You only have to go on the Relationship boards here to see how many men put themselves before their own children.

Thanks

Of course not every MRA or TRA is widely virtue signaling their political position.

But every women who is coerced, intimidated or socialy silenced by men being prioritised is subjected to MRA culture. Every woman who has their female space or biology denied by TWs is subjected to TRA culture.

Tell me where in the world, let alone the UK, this isn't happening.

We are living in an MRA world. The TRAs are capitalising on this strong foundation of patriarchy, because without the male rights stand of partiarchy, no sane person would say that a man can become a woman. Only an MRA would say that. Because women have no rights.

(Slightly off tagent to the topic of this thread, but only today women workers at Next have won their equal pay claim after years of campaigning.)

Julia Gillard, famous for being the female PM who delivered the “misogyny speech” quietly (with no consultation with the Australian people) removed the definitions of “man” and “woman” from the Sex Discrimination legislation, and added “Gender Identity”. She sold out women and legislated for the horror of GI.

She was our equivalent of Nicola Sturgeon…

Imagine if Tony Abbott had decided he's a sheila. Would it have blown her mind, or would she have done a backflip to say TA was suffering internalised misogyny?

Trans Activist, Tony Abbott! Hmm, you could be onto something there.

Not forgetting that sex is also binary and crucially significant for a huge part of the plant and animal kingdom. Humans did not invent the concept by putting on a dress.

Yes, like are we now saying that sex means one thing in the rest of the animal kingdom and another thing specifically in humans?

And that even though humans also have the characteristic being described in other species, we just don't have a word for that in humans?

It's nonsense.

Wouldn't be that big a leap, in one sense (though I bet if he ever thought about it, he'd assume "trans" = "super gay"). He did appoint himself Minister for Women's Issues during his term as PM.

Thanks for this reminder.

Its being going on for so many years now, its hard to remember the steps taken that lead to where we (and in this instance Australia) are now.

So many legal "facts" created over the years to support what is at best a belief set of a small group of people, that for whatever reason politicians have decided to amplify into a society wide reality.
