Archive link to the guide Easton was involved with, although one can't download it now:

Hmm. I wonder whether that guidance conflated 13 years olds with 25 year olds and proposed 13 year olds leaving home in the same way?

ArabellaScott · 25/08/2024 16:53

He didn't write the guide linked in the OP.

I can try and find a copy of the guide he contributed to, it's from about 2009 iirc.

The earlier guide co-authored by Easton is here

I assumed it was this one. We need to find a copy of the older one.

This is a new news story I'm posting below. The guide you're linking to in the OP is a far more recent one. Andrew Easton, recently convicted paedophile, authored one from several years back.

www.sundaypost.com/fp/paedophile-andrew-easton-wrote-coming-out-guide-given-to-schoolkids-as-young-as-13/

Well, there's a fucking big fat surprise.

The problem is that pressure groups in various fields have far more clout than their actual % support in the population would lead you to expect, because people happy with the status quo don't have the same motivation to campaign - campaigning for no change doesn't have the same ring as 'Smash the Whatever-it-is-that-I don't-like!' until your back is against the wall and insanity has taken hold in the public realm

The pressure groups get what is called 'advocacy science' written and published to back them up and wham, legislation. I think there is a pattern of it across various fields.

Or perhaps I've acquired a tinfoil hat without noticing.

WandsOut · 25/08/2024 22:02

Is it possible... that the newer one is actually worse than the one co-written by the paedophile?

Were there more of them working on the newer one?!!! Is that why it's worse?

It certainly looks worse to me.

I think it reflects how the ideology has changed over the last 15 years, the new one was written by a new cohort of 13-24 year olds.

The latest generation have been taught to be more fearful

WandsOut · 25/08/2024 22:54

It's more demanding for sure and also reflects the change to the umbrella terms of Transgender

The thread that @INeedAPensieve linked is terrifying and appalling in equal measure. I know we've discussed this repeatedly on here but the reluctance of certain groups to tackle safeguarding, the habit of shouting bigot at those raising safeguarding concerns and the deliberate blurring of age appropriate boundaries (13 - 25 years fgs) does none of these organisations any favours. Especially if the group is gaslighting children that their developing bodies are flawed but a sex change will cure them.

If you fail to understand the vulnerability of teenagers and their specific age based needs then you can't safeguard them.

There’s nowhere for us to go, no complaints to be made. This is the reality of the western world, this is allowed. Applauded.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 26/08/2024 08:54

Can we highlight this to the current Scot gov? I mean, the fact Shona Robison and Nicola sturgeon ignored a sex abuse survivor from this organisation shows just how bad it was and how embedded the fear of challenging Nicola sturgeon was but surely SURELY they must see that this organisation needs to be fully investigated and pulled out of all schools ?.??

if You can find the right lever. We’re with you. But there’s so much of it everywhere

ArabellaScott · 26/08/2024 10:19

The Scottish government fund this organisation, they train the police. I don't see who one can actually appeal to.

Two paedophiles though!!!! Two! And the sex abuse that Sam went through that he's already highlighted (which I'm presuming was a third person, as it wasn't either of the two paedophiles in prison). I mean, things got pulled and cancelled and investigated when it all came out with Jimmy saville, I fail to see how this is any different? Especially as there are now two convictions and other accusations. It's absolutely horrendous. How could anyone want to be associated with them???

Sacred caste innit.
Some groups have become untouchable / impossible to challenge or criticise. They have the uncritical support of the Scottish government (who of course generously fund them) which sadly means that safeguarding children comes a poor second.

So dangerous.

WandsOut · 26/08/2024 14:18

There is a third, haven't they had to investigate themselves or refer themselves for investigation?

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 26/08/2024 15:02

Police Scotland investigation, yep. That has been ongoing since two ex users raised accusations.

SinnerBoy · 26/08/2024 15:32

Good grief, the risible sentence for really awful CSA material is just mind boggling. What with Plod investigating themselves and fundraising for an organisation they were supposedly investigating, it makes me wonder if senior personnel in the Police and justice system are involved themselves.

FrancescaContini · 26/08/2024 15:38

"p15, Have a bag ready in case you need to leave quickly"
P20, "I've been clear that I need you to call me by my chosen name. If you are unable to do that right now, I will need to leave."

Why is a youth group targeting 13 plus years olds with advice that if their parents don't comply with a name change they should leave home? Do they not know what happens to children alienated from their parents? Do they know what happens to children on the streets? Do they not care?
Or is there a more sinister reason?

The piece of brainwashing codswallop leaflet pre-supposes a certain family dynamic and dictates how a child should respond to his or her parents’ (pre-supposed by the leaflet) homophobia or transphobia. Shocking example of grooming in plain sight.

Is this given out in schools in Scotland?

FrancescaContini · 26/08/2024 15:44

littlbrowndog · 25/08/2024 15:35

It’s Scotland isn’t it.

“ Cybercrime officers discovered 32 video files, many of which were of the most serious category A and featuring children aged between four and eight years old, had been distributed to other paedophiles by Easton.
Despite the sexual images Easton was sharing with others being of the highest category, Sheriff Morag McLaughlin failed to jail him.
Easton, of Kennethmont, Huntly, is subject to a community payback order with supervision for three years and was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. He will remain on the sex offenders register for three years.
Scottish Conservative MSP Meghan Gallacher said: “This is a deeply disturbing situation. It is long overdue that we audit just how much public money this organisation receives and seek assurances over what safeguarding assessments are in place.”.

3 years on sex offenders register and no jail time 😢😢😢

No jail sentence for possession of images of sexual abuse of the highest category (my mind doesn’t want to go there) of children aged FOUR TO EIGHT? And distribution of these images to other paedophiles?

What planet is this judge on?? 🤬🤬🤬

MrsOvertonsWindow · 26/08/2024 15:44

Presumably what we're seeing is the outcome of the strategy outlined in the Denton's report. Work behind the scenes and target institutions and the forces of law and order.
Once you have the judiciary pronouncing fantasies and unscientific nonsense with the police dancing and feting dodgy people instead of investigating them, then the door is open to target any chosen group unhindered.

WarriorN · 26/08/2024 16:19

The guide reads like a Jeffrey Marsh handout.
