I really enjoyed this

The format worked really well. Jack played Helen a clip of an activist (GC or trans) and asked for Helen's thoughts on it. Helen was on the money as usual.

I found out about this podcast because India Willoughby was ranting about it on Twitter. So, err, thanks for the recommendation, India 😉

And why did India call Helen a 'religious biddy'?? 😂

She's said publicly that she's an atheist. I mean...🤷🏻‍♀️

trying to work out what the fuck is going on in India's head? I would start off with something a bit easier, like quantum physics.

The value of having two Irish people in conversation! We are a storytelling culture after all...

Sadly, it seems to be the likes of Pantie Bliss telling the stories on Irish media so far....

Well yeah, the downside is that quite a few Irish people have heads full of wee sweetie mice...

You'd love to have had HJ as a teacher. Failing that - go for an ould drink with her. She used to edit the Economist and is therefore probably a Tory. Presumably the sane and compassionate sort we often hear about , usually at election time , but never get to meet in real life. Or is that too large an assumption?

Imagine how more accessible maths may have been to those without a numerate bent? Unfortunately the left have left women. It feels those who now self identify as being left want to give women a huge kicking, so many women (who won’t join in the increasing oppression of our sex and associated rights) have become politically homeless. It feels ‘bastards to the left, bastards to the right’ to me at the moment.

I do remember Andrew Tyrie at the Treasury Select Committee interviewing Dominic Cummings and ilk. AT (a Conservative MP even) was so impressive. In the Post Office Horizon Inquiry, it was due to a few MP’s (Conservatives too) who raised the pressure on the injustices being inflicted on the sub postmasters.
