Might be me but I can't open that letter now?

ArabellaScott · 29/08/2024 12:49

Site seems to be down.

EmmyPankhurst · 29/08/2024 16:54

It's maybe gone down to protect those of us who did sign.

The TRA behaviour even in medicine is similar. Those standing for committee positions often have an agenda. They often struggle to get volunteers.

Perhaps this is a lesson to us all to be more involved.

Having said that I'm trying to sort out HCSA membership so I can leave. The combination of my BMA subs hitting £450 and this is too much.

@EmmyPankhurst

I don’t blame you in the slightest. As someone who spends an awful lot of her life at/in hospital, it was hugely reassuring to see so many medics sign that letter (including my friend from uni 🥰).

Interesting the way the Guardian is reporting this. No one believes the coverup in the UK now or the attack on Cass.

Now attack on truth tellers will draw attention to the witch hunt and further discredit the BMA.

That's what i thought about the Guardian article. I would imagine a TRA would be raging reading that. Definitely a sign of progress in the Guardian's reporting. I wonder if any of the more sensible members of the Green Party will start to put their heads above the parapet now?

Are whistleblowers not protected at the BMA?

Presumably not when the BMA's WitchFinders General are confident that they are firmly on the right side of history no matter what their actions might signal.

'gender medicine” — the only “life-saving” medicine that treats something which cannot even be called an illness'

Quite.

Puberty blockers are confirmation. Hormones are the sacrament.
Surgery is the stigmata and crucifixion.

Great piece from Victoria Smith. This resonated:
"Yet what it means to move from one life stage to another — physically, emotionally, developmentally — is not taught on any degree course. It is not learned in a lab, or thrashed out in a seminar room. It can only be lived through. Telling children this process can be “paused” or avoided entirely is as meaningful as telling them they can be made immortal. It is telling them they can get out of being human rather than helping them to live"
