Using a nonbinary theythem as a poster girl, of course, because women aren't really women but resources to be harvested of their reproductive potential and most of all their willingness to selflessly serve.

Cleverly balanced article, with a dash of furrowed brow over the procedure being 'uncomfortable', but no mention at all of possible serious health complications.

Egg donors warned not to do it for the money as compensation rises

The compensation egg donors receive is rising, but they are being warned not to do it just for the money.

This Article doesn’t go into the difficult process involved with egg donation at all. I’ve donated my eggs twice before (although for a known recipient). Even with the increase it’s not worth doing it if you’re doing it solely as a financial gain. I had to miss a lot of work due to appointments that had to be based on where in cycle I was and often at a very short notice. I did it twice and after the second one I was really ill due to excess bleeding. This article definitely skirts around how difficult the process is, including the Many blood tests prior to starting, the injections everyday, the constant scans and the procedure itself.

it’s absolutely not something I would do again and I would never have done it in the first place if I hadn’t been asked by someone incredibly important to me

Mentioned a huge increase in demand for eggs too, but no thought about possible reasons for that. It was a pants article

They was on BBC Breakfast this morning too. Absolutely no questions about drawbacks, longer term health implications or the ethical issues of exploiting young, naive egg-bearers. All positive messages. I'm using the language of GI here deliberately.

Get em while they're young and non binary. It's astonishing how strong the Be Kind narrative is.

"I identify as a non-binary lesbian so I already had the thought in my head of I may have to go through different routes to have children,"

How very terfy of her.

This was on Jeremy Vine too, although it was pissing me off too much so I didn't listen. I hadn't connected the "touting" bit which is what was annoying me. Well, that and they kept referring to "people" donating. Sigh.

Mumofteenandtween · 08/08/2024 15:54

How can a person be a non binary lesbian? Surely a contradiction in terms.

Ah, see, where you're going wrong there is that you're expecting it to make sense.
