Plan UK: making their own work meaningless

Plan UK have invested a huge amount of resources to research & write their 2024 UK State of Girls’ Rights Report. All of it absolutely bloody wasted because they insist on including males in said research. Correctly they include ALL female people regardless of their gender identity. That’s what trans inclusion needs to be; just as all males, regardless of their stated gender identity, should be included in research into the fact death by suicide is the most common cause of death for male people under age 45 in the UK.

Absolutely male children & young people who identify as female experience issues & require support. Those issues are NOT the same as those of their female peers & they should not be conflated - it benefits neither group.

Plan UK had the opportunity to produce a valuable piece of research, instead they’ve produced absolute junk in their determination to be part of the lie that changing sex is possible.

It’s ridiculous how much time and money is spent doing research or collecting data while not classifying it properly by sex. It’s all wasted because you can’t draw any conclusions from it.

The dreadful insidious weakness of this unthink. What a fucking waste.

Shameful waste of a charity’s money.

The section on trans literally seems like something they tacked on to appease the lunatics. The rest of the report is excellent and use the words girls and young women exclusively and speaks of issues only affecting females.

But when they say “girls” and “young women” they include male people who identify as such. They haven’t limited their contributions/split off their data so it can be considered separately as is appropriate. No, it’s all just in the mix.

I’m so annoyed about this- I’ve supported Plan International for 11 years by sponsoring a girl in Mali and I thought that they were one of the few charities that understood the implications of being born female are on the lives of women and girls globally.

@HorribleNecktie
I’m afraid Plan have been at this for several years - including in their international work in countries where it’s beyond farcical to engage in this nonsense. Girls leaving education because they don’t have access to period products &/or suitable toilet facilities is a female experience. Needing single-sex toilets to avoid being raped on attempting to relieve yourself somewhere discreet during your working day? Female experience. Exclusion from homes, schools, places of worship (etc) while menstruating? Female experience.

It is a disservice to girls, young women, AND those males who identify as such.

How on earth do they justify including males AND trans identified females?
Do they believe you can chanhe sex or not?

UpThePankhurst · 21/07/2024 17:42

Because it's kiiiiiiind.

It renders the data absolutely useless, a terrible waste of time and money, and destroys the true voice and experience of all females, which is not kind at all. But there's a nice sentimental feel while you do it for the males to be happy.
