POW Candidate reported threats she had received to Norhumbria Police. They didn't hang up the phone properly, and this is what she recorded:

I was redirected to this old thread because someone is trying to stop people finding out about this by reporting the audio clips and getting them taken down. I had missed this first time round I think but it is pretty shocking. I wonder how the police investigation went?

If you find out elsewhere, please share. I'm also curious.

The problem is not the sharing of the call but the reaction to a member of the public reporting a potential crime.

This shows that police need to get back to what they are paid to do.

Some police forces seem to be too busy wanting to be friends instead of enforcing the law. I am sure there are members of the public who would like support on tackling domestic violence/robbery/ assault/ rape/murder. But I guess those crimes fall into the difficult category whereas participating in a Pride March or monitoring social media is a lot easier and takes far less effort. (Surrey & Northumberland). It stems from the top in police forces and the attitudes of the Chief Constables.

Yes. As discussed here - the enthusiasm the chief constable of Surrey has for a now convicted rapist of a 12 year old boy suggests there may be a lot more murky crimes to be uncovered were there to be an investigation?

Oddly enough he seems to have been promoted rather than investigated:

yes Stephens chairs the National Police Chiefs council. I do hope that there will be a discussion that policing is not selective and that it is a service to be provided to all. I get that community policing is important but not at the expense of other crimes.

The police are expected to maintain and support standards. They are not meant to be political pawns. Given some of the horror stories over recent years, and I am not talking about the casual blind eye turning in some Pride/Trans/Womens events, about the police you would have thought that the focus needs to be on getting the basics right.

The majority of the public want to know what’s happening in terms of crime figures, are thefts being solved, what’s happening in rape/assaults/murder, why is shoplifting not being addresses? They do not care if someone with 30 followers says something on twitter like ‘it would be lovely to have biological female only toilets at the local rugby club’ which might lead to someone complaining that someone else could take offence if they had a twitter account and then by some chance read it but doesn’t go to the said rugby club.

There's also the serious question asking how a chief constable could be so critical of a police commissioner asking questions about the dodgy behaviour of a man who turns out to be a child rapist.
What made the chief constable decide to defend the paedophile to such an inconceivable degree?

Hi BundleBoogie,

I had an email from Northumbria Police Professional Standards two days ago saying that all the officers concerned have now submitted their statements, that these will be reviewed and then I will get another update.

Various reasons why this has all taken so long but hopefully it will be complete soon.

I received a written apology from the Assistant Chief Constable immediately the police were made aware that the recording had been posted on Social Media (TikTok and X).

At no point have the police suggested that I did anything wrong in recording the conversation between the officers, all Detective Constables I think.

The Police have also not objected to the recording being posted on Social Media. It is not, as alleged by certain trans rights activists on Mumsnet, "illegal" to have done so.

I missed the first few minutes of what the DC's said about me because at first I thought the radio or a video had kicked in. Then, when I realised what was happening, it took me a bit of time to fire up the computer and start recording by holding my phone on speaker-output next to the mic.

So the worst of what they said has not been recorded. I recorded about 10 minutes but there were long silences in that.

I sent the recording to North News and Pictures and one of their journalists selected clips to put together a TikTok video just over two minutes long. The police have a copy of the complete recording. As do I.

Harry Miller also has a copy but I can't remember if that is the full recording or the short version. Both North News and Pictures and Harry prepared transcripts. I think Harry filled in some of the barely audible parts where NN&P got stuck.

I haven't bothered to go through the full recording yet to see if there are any other clips worth adding. What North News and Pictures selected is bad enough.

If the TRA twats manage to get this taken down I will just post it somewhere else.
