Right now on LBC calling out KS on his ‘toxicity’ misnomer. Worth tuning in on catch up

Exactly, all these transpeople who will have in their hands 'a piece of paper'. That has never preceded anything bad.Hmm

Rapist men being locked up in women's prisons is a "silly error"? 😡

zibzibara · 24/06/2024 18:50

Surely she's not so thick as to not understand the problem is the policy itself.

I totally understand women’s pessimism and disillusionment with the labour party. It seems to be such a tortuous process to even get them to understand the very simple concerns so many women have. But I do think the noise around this issue is getting louder, and I do think the multiplicity of voices across various media does help. I would still (just about) rather be inside the tent. Meanwhile from today’s Times…

I'll be happy to meet after
NoXYinXXprisons, LesbianLabour, WomensRightsNet, WomansPlaceUK
and AllianceLGB have been given in person meetings with the Labour leadership. I'd also like to know whether
AngelaRayner still considers the last two organisations hate groups - asking on behalf of female survivors of domestic violence and gay people who don't subscribe to gender ideology

Wow JKR is totally slaying it at the moment 👏 👏 My local potential labour MP is GC (constituency boundary changed here) I will be emailing her this week. I need to calm down first

Thanks for flagging OP. I’ve just listened on catch up. That was an amazing opening piece from Shelagh and brilliant handling the various callers. Shelagh if you’re on here 👏👏👏

And agree with other PPs - a wonderful call from Catherine.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/06/2024 22:07

If you use Twitter, please give Shelagh some support

Skyellaskerry · 24/06/2024 22:47

@BoreOfWhabylon I’m not on twitter - is Shelagh getting grief?

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/06/2024 22:49

She gets a fair amount since she started speaking out, but really I just think we should let her know we appreciate her stance

lcakethereforeIam · 24/06/2024 22:54

I'm not on twiX but, on the off chance that she visits here, she has my thanks.

Skyellaskerry · 26/06/2024 14:14

Shelagh continuation of discussion now on lbc. Linked to the David tennent story

Sorry should have been clearer. Harman dismissed women's concerns. Said it was all because of a few silly errors (Isla Bryson) and that women who worked in Rape Crisis didn't see a problem. She belittled the concerns of women. I've struggled about voting for them, my postal ballot is still here, but it's made my mind up. I wont vote for people who hold me in contempt.

Did she honesly call Isla Bryson a 'silly error'???
