I think it's simply virtue signalling: Look at us, aren't we kind, tolerant and righteous!

Except that the very opposite, they're rigid, intolerant and authoritarian. No dissent is allowed, or you're hounded out. They've upended the words tolerant and inclusive.

If, by some miracle, two girls were consistently chosen, I wonder how long the gender neutral policy would last? I'm betting two years, tops.
