The Scots are pouring money into them. I have no idea whatsoever why trans ideology in schools is a priority over anything else.

I think it's simply virtue signalling: Look at us, aren't we kind, tolerant and righteous!

Except that the very opposite, they're rigid, intolerant and authoritarian. No dissent is allowed, or you're hounded out. They've upended the words tolerant and inclusive.

If, by some miracle, two girls were consistently chosen, I wonder how long the gender neutral policy would last? I'm betting two years, tops.

As the Americans say, don't piss down my leg and tell me it's raining.

You're too generous. There'd be an election the next week for a deputy.

I can't think of the phrase but.. ask yourself why the wall was built in the first place before you dismantle it?

Why do these idiots think male and female categories were created for leadership positions, sport, awards, toilets etc etc in the first place?

It wasn't because they wanted to make things less equal back then, was it?

It's all going backwards for women & girls and we're labelling it 'progress'.

Chesterton's fence.

Which made me find this, which I thought was interesting:

Thanks @duc748 , you’ve saved me a Google!

I've just returned to this thread - yes! Chesterton's Fence! Great article @duc748

Think of the intricate web of social norms that govern human interaction. Many of these norms may seem arbitrary or outdated, ripe for reform. But each norm became a norm to serve some purpose – to foster cooperation, to prevent conflict, to maintain order. To sweep them away without understanding their role in the social ecosystem is to invite chaos
