the results are clear - go woke go broke

weird that the analysts don't report on this.

I see moves to the 'right' as a corrective measure when things go too far 'Left'.
Too much emphasis on openness and boundarylessness, fluidity etc - results in a re-emphasis on boundaries and borders and a move towards a stronger sense of individuality and self definition.

History and society repeats itself in familiar shifts and in familiar patterns. Time and history are not linear.

Human beings will look to protecting themselves and their offspring, even if this is and undercurrent rather than a worked out strategy. If anything seems to threaten, they will move, politically, in the direction that offers most protection.

I'm not surprised and think the same thing will happen here in a few years.

Labour will get in this year, but in the following election, I believe a much further right version of the Tories, or even something like Reform, will be much more likely to win. It's inevitable in my opinion.

The results are unsurprising. Yet all the mainstream 'pundits' and 'progressive' commentators will refuse to acknowledge the key role of far left rhetoric and policies in shaping the state of politics around Europe. Centrist and right wing parties are no better. They also are addicted to cheap labour and completely disinterested in implementing anything that will result in proper borders and stable economies.
