The whole of that article is worth a read

This is a judge!

I think it might warrant its own thread. My opinion is that the judge has got it backwards. Hostility from gay and bi people, the rise of the gender critical movement is down to the egregious behaviour of some transpeople and their so called allies. Their allies imo grotesque, entitled behaviour has caused nothing but damage. Did they honestly think carrying on the way they have wouldn't trigger a pushback?

How about this one.

Well that was an excruciating piece of gaslighting by the male who claims to be female. Maya did a fine job explaining the actual issues, as she always does!

Also it's funny how Vine referred to this male as "he", shows you can't stop people from naturally just saying what they see.

1known transgender judge who has recently stepped down....even if the EA is strengthened, we still have to repeal the GRA....!^

Hmm, them's birth registration is not female, it's male, but was amended to make they appear female. You'd think that a barrister would have the wit to know the difference, wouldn't you?

He's not a barrister - he was a judge so yes, he REALLY should have the wit to understand.

If I hear another transwoman with a deeply masculine voice on a phone in saying they are female because their passports and birth certificates say so, I shall probably break my radio throwing something at it. It's SO enraging!!!

I've just listened to this. Maya was brilliant.

I just wish that when trans woman Michelle said they use women's toilets just to pee, not to invade women's spaces that someone had pointed out that whether Michelle intended to invade or not it is an invasion. And every time they use women's spaces they are showing how little they care about women's safety, comfort and dignity.

Would it be useful for Maya or another GC advocate to point out the obvious when, during a discussion, their opposite number makes claims like, ‘I look exactly like a woman and no-one has told me otherwise' or is it best left to the public to discern the juxtaposition?

People recoil at honesty, especially when it's coming from a woman. I think Maya has a great balance there, of holding the line with honesty but being careful not to be rude.

You make an excellent point; women are held to a more exacting and hampering standard of behaviour in a sexist society. Having to fight for our rights with one hand tied behind our backs is hardly fair.
