KJK is saying that employers and landlords should be alowed to discriminate against both men and women with a trans identity, e.g. those who've had a double mastectomy, as they are "lazy" "entitled" and "difficult to work with" "wierd" and do everything in their power to avoid paying rent. Surely this isn't what you all had in mind, when we first came together in GC groups a few years back, to fight for women's rights? Over the last 6 years or so, I've spent every spare minute and much more money than I can afford fighting for women's rights, fighting for a better world for my DD, for a world where she and her friends don't have to navigate puberty with the risk of being told they are boys if they don't conform to society's narrow views about what young women should be like. A world where if they're autistic, or anorexic, or finding it difficult to come to terms with their sexuality, or any of the other reasons kids end up thinking they're trans, that ending up blockers and hormones or undertaking surgery isn't pushed on them. But if they do end up going down that road, do I want young women who think they are men, to be refused employment or housing? WTAF?! She's actually campaing FOR discrimination. I've got so used to being called transphobic when I'm not that it nearly ceases to have meaning. But this is actual, genuine transphobia. Dangerously simplistic bollocks, designed to appeal to the lowest common demononator. Please tell me you see this too? It's totally indefensible.
