Schools in England should not teach about gender identity, according to new draft guidance from the government.
Government sources told BBC News about plans to ban sex education for under-nines, as well as teaching about gender identity, on Wednesday.

Thank goodness. Very positive step.

I should add - it looks like this is draft guidance so we're not there yet, apologies if the thread title - which is the title of the news article - is misleading.

But still very good news.

Bit late but thank God some sanity is creeping in. I do wonder about all the brainwashed teachers who were fully paid up and promoting gender ideology though… they still remain.

You have no idea how glad I am to see this!

My eldest had already finished school before they started preaching gender nonsense and teaching them way too much about sex / masturbation etc (I swear to god literal paedophiles must have produced most of the current learning materials because no normal adult thinks thats appropriate for such young children)

DP and I have been in discussions re what to do when DD2 (18 months) starts school, we're both in agreement we'd rather home educate her than have her exposed to that crap

However I really dont want to have to do that as I'd hate for her to miss out on all the fun and social aspects of school, meeting new people, friendships, school plays etc. You just cant recreate those experiences at home

(Plus, my maths and science are so bad I'd struggle to teach her much beyond reception stage, so it would be expensive private tutoring)

So this is a very welcome development that I'll be watching closely!
